Wildlife Adventure

We can't get inside Yellowstone yet. The East entrance gates don't open until May because of the snow, and the pass we go through (Sylvan Pass) often has avalanche danger through the winter.
However, we took Grandma up the Northfork up to the gates and got to see some really beautiful wildlife...
The most exciting part of the day was when we found the wolf tracks. They were in an unlikely area... they usually hang out
up higher in the mountains..
We suspect they are low
because that's where the
elk are right now.We took a cast of them out of plaster of paris to keep as a treasure... You know how Jonas loves his treasures...
We had a really fun day.

Grandma is Finally Here!!!!

So, here it is, April 9th.... Grandma arrived last night at 10 pm. It was a little breezy, and 44 degrees outside. We woke up to several inches of snow this morning... In most cases, you would think the weekend of Easter would be fairly nice weather, But.... not in Wyoming... We are sitting here now at 2 in the afternoon, and it's still coming down. Well, at least Kyla has pink snow boots that will match here Easter dress!!! We will bring our snow shovel to the
Easter egg hunt after church
on Sunday!!!
We decided to make the most of it
and built a snowman with Grandma...
We had a fun morning.

April Fool's Day

So... here it is April 1st. in Cody. And it is snowing... I am soooo ready for it to just be warm. The kids are too. They are jumping on the trampoline and shivering with each bounce!! Oh well... we'll try again in May.

But hot cocoa and the nice warm fire take the chills away in a jiffy!!!
Cheers!!

Parents

My mom and dad.....I love them.

Lander, Wyoming

These are a few pictures from our trip to Lander. It is a 31/2 hour trip... Dan had a conference, and so we decided to tag along. The first night it snowed a foot!!! It was a mess. But we had fun anyway.

We shopped a little...(how much shopping can actually be done in a town of 7,500???)

We ate at a couple of restaurants, and went bowling.

The kid,s favorite thing to do is jump on the beds in the hotel.

Thanks for taking us Daddy!!!
Oh and I've been promising to post a picture of Jonas in his new glasses... So handsome isn't he???

Jonas had another reading celebration at school. The theme was a "chapter story" this time, so he wrote "All About Me". It is always fun to hear each of the students read their story or report.

YouJin's Graduation

So, Youjin has completed her training and left for South Korea a couple of weeks ago.
It was a wonderful time for us all. We will miss her dearly, but I'm sure she was eager to get back home and back into real life again after being gone for 6 months.
