Lander, Wyoming

These are a few pictures from our trip to Lander. It is a 31/2 hour trip... Dan had a conference, and so we decided to tag along. The first night it snowed a foot!!! It was a mess. But we had fun anyway.

We shopped a little...(how much shopping can actually be done in a town of 7,500???)

We ate at a couple of restaurants, and went bowling.

The kid,s favorite thing to do is jump on the beds in the hotel.

Thanks for taking us Daddy!!!
Oh and I've been promising to post a picture of Jonas in his new glasses... So handsome isn't he???

Jonas had another reading celebration at school. The theme was a "chapter story" this time, so he wrote "All About Me". It is always fun to hear each of the students read their story or report.

YouJin's Graduation

So, Youjin has completed her training and left for South Korea a couple of weeks ago.
It was a wonderful time for us all. We will miss her dearly, but I'm sure she was eager to get back home and back into real life again after being gone for 6 months.

Red Lodge, Montana

Well, it looks like we are making it a yearly tradition to go to Red Lodge to ski every year.
This year as well as last we went with a group of people from church.
It is sooo much fun to see Kyla make her way down. The first half of the day I spent holding her hood and letting her ski right next to me... But she had a hard time getting the concept of the "snowplow".
Last year Jonas snowboarded, and
wasn't at all successful. So we
tried to talk him into skiing this time,
but he wouldn't have anything to
do with all that. So.....We let him
snowboard. He tumbled his way
down the mountain all morning.
After lunch, we decided to try a
harness with Kyla. What a
wonderful invention that thing is...
We called it a leash, but in any case, she wears the harness, and I hold the
10ft. long leashes that come off
her back. She was able to figure
out how to "snowplow", and it was
really easy... I recommend it to any-
one with little kids. And I don't
know what happened to Jonas, but
something clicked for him and
he was cruising the whole afternoon.
We were very proud of both kids.
YouJin had a great day too.
She had tried snowboarding
one time before, and so decided
to try again. She did a great job.
We had a wonderful day....
until the last run.
Pastor Ben fell on his way down
the bunny hill. And to make a long
story short, ended up with a
concussion... couldn't remember
anything... (kinda funny)
but they sent him to the
hospital in an ambulance, and
then found what might be a
fracture. So, the sent him to
Billings for a second opinion,
which turned out to be nothing.
He is doing just fine now..
Thank the Good Lord.

Horsing Around

Kyla has never forgotten the time at Derek and Cindy's wedding when we got to ride a horse... So when we went to a birthday party a couple of weeks ago, we got to do it again.
The kids really enjoyed it.Our friends are trying to talk us into buying a horse, but as you all know we did that once before, and well... We just aren't ready to do it again. We only pretended we knew what we were doing. Maybe some day....
I will post some pics soon with our ski trip we went on...

How To Draw A Stick Person

In school, Jonas has been learning how to write reports and papers.... Here, he wrote a
"How To Draw A Stick Person" paper. He had also written a Dinosaur report and a "Special Moment" paper. They were wonderful.
I thought you might enjoy watching Jonas read this paper... We sure enjoyed it!!
